- Review the homeowner’s electricity usage, utility provider, property goals and project expectations.
- Explain solar ownership, financing and other available options using company-approved information.
- Present accurate proposals through LuNova-approved tools.
- Answer homeowner questions without making misleading savings, incentive or approval claims.
- Collect all required customer information, utility documents and signatures.
- Maintain complete notes and project stages in the company CRM.
- Conduct timely follow-up with interested homeowners.
- Coordinate signed projects with LuNova’s installation and financing partners.
- Prepare customers for the site survey and respond promptly to missing-information requests.

- Protect homeowner information and use it only for authorized business purposes.
$500 per approved site survey during probation.
During the 90-day introductory probationary period, compensation is performance-based. Representatives earn $500 for each qualifying project that reaches an approved site survey. The annual salary begins only after successful completion of probation and formal hire into the ongoing role.
Completed and approved site survey
The representative earns $500 for each qualifying project that advances from the sales appointment to an approved site survey during the 90-day probationary period.
Payment is earned when all of the following are met:
- The representative is officially assigned to the opportunity in LuNova’s CRM.
- The homeowner completes the sales consultation.
- The homeowner agrees to proceed and signs all required sales documents.
- All project information and documentation are submitted correctly.
- The authorized installation partner completes the site survey.
- The site survey is formally approved.
- LuNova verifies the approved-site-survey milestone.
How the probationary period works
All new Residential Solar Sales Representatives begin with a 90-day introductory probationary period.
During this period, representatives remain eligible for the standard $500 approved-site-survey payment.
Successful completion of the probationary period is based on overall performance, reliability, communication, customer experience and compliance. Successful completion does not by itself guarantee formal hire; transition to the salaried role requires a written employment offer from LuNova Solar.
Annual salary after probation and formal hire
After successful completion of the 90-day probationary period, representatives who are formally hired into the ongoing role transition to an annual salary in this range, plus performance bonuses. The specific salary and bonus terms are confirmed in the written employment offer and compensation plan.
Transition to the salaried role:
- Successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.
- Formal hiring decision by LuNova Solar.
- Written employment offer confirming the annual salary.
- Written compensation plan describing bonus eligibility and payment terms.
Performance bonuses may be based on:
- Monthly or quarterly production.
- Consistent site-survey approvals.
- Completed installations.
- Low cancellation rates.
- Accurate documentation.
- Strong homeowner feedback.
- Team leadership or training responsibilities.
Performance bonuses are in addition to the annual salary. Bonus amounts, qualification thresholds and payment dates will be provided in the representative’s written compensation plan.
Projects that do not earn the $500 probationary payment
- Appointments that do not advance to a signed project.
- Incomplete or rejected project submissions.
- Site surveys that are scheduled but not completed.
- Site surveys that are not approved.
- Duplicate or previously assigned homeowners.
- Projects outside the representative’s approved territory.
- Projects involving inaccurate information, unauthorized promises or compliance violations.
- Fraudulent or fabricated submissions.
