Official Rules

1. No purchase necessary

No purchase, payment, solar consultation, quote request, financing application, solar agreement or other commercial transaction is necessary to enter or win. A purchase or request for solar services will not increase a participant’s chances of winning. The optional solar-review choice on the campaign form is separate from giveaway entry. There is no fee to enter or claim the prize.

2. Sponsor

The Springfield Electric Bill Relief Giveaway is sponsored by JV Solar LLC DBA LuNova Solar, 621 W Edwards St, Apt 1, Springfield, IL 62704. Promotion questions may be directed to info@lunova.solar.

3. Eligibility

The promotion is open to legal residents age 18 or older whose primary residence is within the corporate city limits of Springfield, Illinois, in Sangamon County. The potential winner may be required to provide reasonable documentation verifying age, identity and qualifying residence before the prize is awarded.

Employees, officers and contractors of the Sponsor who are directly involved in administering the promotion, and members of their immediate households, are not eligible. The promotion is void outside the eligible area and where prohibited or restricted by law.

4. Entry period

The promotion begins October 1, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Central Time and ends October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Entries received before or after the Entry Period are not eligible. Sponsor’s records will be the official timekeeping method for website submissions.

5. How to enter and household limit

During the Entry Period, an eligible participant may enter by completing and submitting the Springfield Electric Bill Relief Giveaway form on LuNova Solar’s website with the required contact, residential address, ZIP code, electric utility and approximate electric-bill information.

Entry limit: One (1) entry per household for the entire Giveaway Period. For purposes of this Giveaway, a household means the individuals who share the same primary residential address. A separate apartment or residential unit at the same street address may be treated as a separate household when it represents a separate residence.

If more than one entry is received from the same household, only the first valid eligible entry received may be considered. Using different names, email addresses, telephone numbers or other information does not create additional entries for the same household. The Sponsor may use reasonable methods to identify duplicate household entries.

A separate optional request for a solar home review is not required and will not affect winner selection.

6. Prize

One (1) prize will be awarded: One (1) $500 check payable to the confirmed winner. The approximate retail value of the prize is $500.

The check will be made payable to the confirmed winner. No purchase or payment is required to receive the prize. The prize may not be transferred or assigned before issuance. No substitution will be made except where reasonably necessary due to circumstances outside the Sponsor’s control or as required by law.

7. Winner selection and notification

One potential winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The random drawing will be conducted on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, three (3) business days after the Entry Period closes.

The potential winner will be contacted using the contact information supplied with the entry and must respond within five (5) calendar days from the date of the Sponsor’s first notification. Responding does not by itself guarantee receipt of the prize; the potential winner must first be confirmed eligible and in compliance with these Official Rules.

If the selected entrant is ineligible, cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required period, declines the prize, cannot reasonably verify eligibility, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner at random from the remaining eligible entries.

8. Odds

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the official Entry Period.

9. Winner verification and prize delivery

Before issuing the $500 check, the Sponsor may require reasonable proof of identity, age, primary residential address within the eligible area, and compliance with the one-entry-per-household limit. Acceptable residence verification may include a government-issued identification, utility bill, lease or other reasonably reliable documentation showing the qualifying Springfield residential address.

Once eligibility is confirmed, the Sponsor will arrange delivery or mailing of the $500 check. The Sponsor may require confirmation of the correct payee name and mailing or delivery information before issuing the check.

10. Taxes and prize conditions

Any federal, state or local tax obligations associated with the prize are the winner’s responsibility unless applicable law requires otherwise. The Sponsor will not require advance payment of taxes, processing fees, shipping charges or similar fees as a condition of receiving the prize.

11. Entry integrity

The Sponsor may disqualify entries reasonably determined to be fraudulent, manipulated, automated, submitted using false information, duplicative beyond the stated household limit, or otherwise inconsistent with these Official Rules. The Sponsor may suspend, modify or cancel the promotion if fraud, technical failure or another event materially affects fair administration, subject to applicable law.

12. Privacy and communications

Information submitted for the project or giveaway may be used to administer the LuNova 100 Homes Project, verify eligibility, identify duplicate household entries, contact a potential winner, award the prize and administer the promotion. Public educational summaries should use anonymized information unless a household separately gives permission to be identified.

Entering the Giveaway does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive marketing telephone calls or text messages from LuNova Solar. A participant who separately selects the optional solar-review checkbox may be contacted about that request. Marketing consent is not required to enter or win and does not improve the odds of winning.

13. Technical problems and general conditions

The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected or not received because of technical failures beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control. If a technical failure materially affects fair administration, the Sponsor may take reasonable corrective action consistent with these Official Rules and applicable law.

The promotion will be administered under these Official Rules and applicable law. Nothing in these rules is intended to waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

14. Third-party platforms

If the Giveaway is advertised or shared through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google, Yelp, Nextdoor, X, YouTube or another third-party service, the Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with that platform unless expressly stated otherwise.

15. Governing law

The promotion and these Official Rules are governed by applicable United States and Illinois law. Any legal proceeding arising directly from the Giveaway that cannot otherwise be resolved will be subject to an appropriate court having jurisdiction in Sangamon County, Illinois, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

16. Questions and winner information

After the promotion concludes and a winner is confirmed, the Sponsor may provide winner information to the extent required or permitted by law. Requests concerning these Official Rules or promotion administration may be sent to info@lunova.solar.
